Caught in the Act: A Sam & Sam Mystery

Caught in the Act: A Sam & Sam Mystery is a middle school mystery aimed at keeping the reader on their toes. It takes a set of twins set in Suttons Bay, MI and solves a murder, all while switching between each twin and telling the story from their point of view. Clues, danger, and a group of friends are included in this mystery with an "old timey" feel and Nancy Drew/Bobsey Twins spin-off.

Samuel and Samantha, better known as Sam and Sam, stumble across a dead body in the back of their school theater. Enthused by their love for mysteries, the Sams and their friends dive into the mystery surrounding this death and go on an adventure. The Sams track down clues, get in a car accident, receive threatening messages and more before they end their mystery having to escape an abandoned house and bring the killers into the light. Each chapter takes on the point of view of one of the twins, causing the reader to continuously be on their toes about whose point of view they are reading from. Overall, a clean, dialogue-filled, straight-forward mystery.
